E.Central MN
I took a few trips out west over the years. The first couple trips were later in the summer (August), everything was brown and I wondered who would want to live there. I saw a lot of old fences and run down building sites with windmills and water troughs, but didn't see many herds of cattle. A few years later I went earlier in the summer (June), grass was green and saw herds of cattle everywhere. Time of year sure changed things.
