SW WI | Meh…for mine. Poor germination, cold soil at planting and stayed cold long after. Dry for an extended period but moisture, lately. We need some heat.
Had a road trip to the Quad cities a couple days ago. Traveled along 61 for the most part. I don’t mean to criticize anyone’s crops but I was expecting to see better looking crops, than I did. Looked like a ton of no till and same issues…poor germination, small, not deep green plants. I got into IL on I80 and crops looked better….but still not much wowed me.
Lot of time left for a good crop but my opinion is this is one of the poorer starts.
Not killing the crop, the markets don’t move with what I or anyone else says here. If there’s a story here it will take along time to play out.
