Subject: RE: here we go

NC Iowa
I will agree in a test plot situation fuller season corn is handy capped on the TW side of the ledger. There is no adjustment given to the TW in higher moisture corn. early season corn will always be drier so it has better test weight. later season corn will be higher moisture so that will have lower test weight. I will even say if you let each hybrid dry down to 15% before you combine it, then the TW would be much more even. If you let every hybrid dry down and then combine it and compare a list of yield along side their test weight you probably won't see anything stand out. BUT what I have said all along is if I can increase the test weight I should be able to increase the yield.
