North Central Indiana | Your story is great. Except the kernel depth is still variable during grain fill, which helps kernel weight which is what you’re “saving” with fungicide. Larger kernels do not equate to higher test weight. They equate to higher kernel weight which is a factor in yield along with number of kernels, plants per acre, etc. Test weight is not. Test weight is legitimately only measuring how many pounds of corn fit in a bushel basket that is 1.24446 cubic feet. That’s it. Zero to do with yield. Forever and always.
