And Russ I'm pretty sure you don't have Animal Control call on you if a cow/calf is grazing on the side of the road. "The Cows are out" is a all hands on deck HERE.

Finally, I'd bet you have never got a ticket for having a calf out (I have) only cost me $25, but still cost me. I need tame cows, that will come to a bucket rattling with grain. Nothing like dealing with suburbanites, who might even have a horse, who stops and says 'your cow is having a calve out there, how come you're not out there helping her'?

Different strokes for different folks, I'd most likely be in your camp Russ with wide open spaces.
