What are they gaining there? Plant normal wheat, harvest, plant cotton/beans.
Yes. My thoughts are more for deer control though. I had cover crops on a bunch of acres this year and the deer pretty much stayed out of them. So thinking of bearded wheat and using it as a cover but with the added benefit of $$$ coming in for the wheat.
Wouldn’t try it full scale but a 20-30 acre test might give me a good idea if it’s worth scaling up. |
