| We had a similar situation this year. What else are you tank mixing with the liberty? Are you using real dry AMS? Real dry AMS is key -- 3lbs/ac is our standard rate, but when weather conditions aren't ideal (low temp/humidity) we increase the rate to 5lbs/ace. We didn't use MSO, so I can't answer that part of you question - but I would potentially worry about it being a little too hard on the crop (are the beans small?). Ensure you're using 20gpa water and getting good coverage - liberty is a contact killer and doesn't move through the plant. Drive slower through the field -- don't be driving 15mph. Make sure you're using the full rate of liberty - generally 43oz. Spray your weediest fields during the "best" (even though doesn't sound like you have them) conditions -- during the highest temps of the day and the parts of the day with the most sun.
For our soybean post emerge pass we use Liberty 43oz, Roundup 30oz, dry AMS 3#, HCOS 9.6oz, Clethodim 12oz, drift retardant, and we did put down 48oz of Warrant residual herbicide. | |
