SW WI | The discussion below about surviving $4 corn made me think of a conversation myself, my wife and my son had a couple years ago. My wife and I were building a new cattle barn which then we would sell a small farm with existing older cattle buildings on, to our son. He has his own acres some owned, some rented. Running thru production numbers he made the comment he would be feeding most of his corn with just a little left over for cash crop income.
I replied “ that’s not a bad thing….”
