Locally basis has been popping.
Merchants are very interested in how much we have left. Either corn or beans.
That suggests we may not have the supplies locally, or else folks have decided that $4.25 corn can stay where it is.
The number of folks I have talked about crop insurance with indicates we probably did not have the record they claimed.
I know on my own, some of the grain that went to town last fall was light. Test weight was still showing 56 or so but a high sided Timpte with ag hoppers was weighing mid 80's pretty much full. Before someone gets all cranky, 90,000 is legal during harvest here.
Not all was that way but some.
For measured yield, it would be possible to be off 15% pretty easy.
