I like to leave my emails on my server so I can check it from multiple devices. I’ve done this for many years. I have to go through every now and then to get rid of ones I don’t need any longer and large attachments. What are some options for archiving emails so I can save them for future reference.  A few years ago, I did the archive option (I think that was the procedure in Outlook). But that put them in a format that wasn’t ready to use if you will. As mentioned, I use Outlook. Have for many years. It works fine for me. It’s version 2010. It seems as though the newest version is free, is that correct?

What method is there to store emails in an easy/ready to search format?

Is the newer version of Outlook free, and should I upgrade to it?
