How about just continuing to fly as you have and finding a CFI to ride along as a safety pilot? Maybe you've already thought of this? The CFI would technically be PIC, but should allow you to control the plane safely.

Most drone flights are restricted to 400' AGL. Often you can see patterns or problems in fields when higher than 400'.
