I thought paraquat/ gramoxone needed full coverage like Liberty - both being contact killers.
We used to post-direct it under the corn canopy - smoked weeds but only burnt bottom corn leaves.
I've wondered that, too. How do you get a kill from a non-systemic herbicide if you can't get coverage from top to bottom? I suppose if the wiper can contact all the growing points above the crop canopy, it'll turn the trick, but not much use on the ones in the canopy. Is there any systemic herbicide that will work on something like waterhemp, marestail and such? |
