SW Ohio | Little different case, but in 2011 I built my CJ7 and put an Optima red top in it. The sticker on the side says 10/10. The Jeep has had a slight draw for a long time but never enough to worry about trying to fix. I usually turn off the disconnect anyway. I forgot and left it on over the winter. It hasn't moved since November so it killed the battery. I was able to charge it and it would start, but just barely. I didn't want to get stuck somewhere with the kids so I bought another Optima from Amazon and stuck in it. I hope it lasts as long as the first one. Now I think I need to put new tires on it, as the 2011's are dry rotting a bit.
Sidebar note, Amazon did not ask for a core deposit or offer any way to turn the core in. Not sure if that is because it is an Optima or what. I guess I can turn it in somewhere and get a few bucks for it.
For the farm stuff I've been buying JD strongbox batteries. Seem to be treating me better than anything I've tried in the past and the price isn't as terrible as many want you to believe. They do have 2 different grades listed in the parts book, original equipment and replacement. I haven't tested them side by side yet | |
