I have an older DJI drone but not this particular model so what I say might not apply.
As mentioned above, the controller would need to be charged also. Mine has a separate charging port on the bottom center, USB-c.
My drone and controller also have a somewhat unique power on procedure where you have to press the power button, release, and press again and hold for it to power on.
I remembered the unique power on procedure for "waking up" the drone itself. Mine works that way also. The Drone itself does seem to come to life. as indicated by various patterns of the LEDs on the Done itself. In other words I believe the Drone is healty.
My Problem is that I can't get the controller to come to life. Even with the controller plugged into my iPhone, there is no indication on what appears to be LEDs on the controller itself. I don't remember needing to charge the controller but I haven't used it for many years. I believe my problem is that the controller needs to be recharged as others have suggested.
With my controller I do not see any type of standard USB port that could be used for charging. It does contain a port to allow the controller to be connected to the lightning port for the older iPhones with a short adapter cable. As I recall there was an extra cable or two for connecting the controller to other USB connector types. I have misplaced them but they must be around here somewhere. The connector on the controller does not appear to be any of the standard types. It somewhat resembles a type C connection but not exactly.
I did a Google search and watched a few videos. None of the controllers shown are an exact match for mine. Most of them indicate that the controller battery needs to be charged so I believe this is my problem but how to charge since the only USB type connector is the one used to connect to my iPhone. One quick pic seems to show a short adapter which might be used for charging. I don't recall receiving such a charger but again this was 6 years ago.
Still hoping someone will see this that has the exact controller that I have.
Thanks for the help.
