NE Indiana | Whether you save the seed and clean it and treat it or a grower hauls the seed to the seed company and they clean it and treat it, it doesn't make a bit of difference if it's the same variety. It's not like new certified seed you buy in a bag is made in a lab somewhere. I'm sure there are many farmers that have been told saving seed will cause a yield drag so I will say you posting this does help a lot of guys so, I guess the plot wasn't unnecessary. Just when you actually think it though you realize it doesn't matter. And perhaps as another poster said it could be better because the seed you keep is adapted to your farming practices and land,
