What's the advantage of this over here or Facebook?
Good question.
Honestly, if Facebook already does everything you need, there may not be much advantage—unless you’re interested in trying something built specifically for agriculture and rural communities.
Part of the reason I started working on LoopAg is because over the years I’ve talked to a lot of farmers, ranchers, and people in agriculture who told me they were tired of posting on the larger social networks. Some didn’t like all the noise, some didn’t like getting pulled into arguments that had nothing to do with agriculture, and others were becoming more concerned about privacy and how personal data is used online.
The idea behind LoopAg is to create a place focused entirely on agriculture and rural communities. Photos, videos, discussions, marketplace, jobs, local groups, and other ag-related tools—all centered around people who live and work in the industry.
We’re still learning and improving as we go.
