I have had geothermal for about 20 years. Ground loops buried about 9 feet deep in my backyard. It has been pretty trouble free and works very well for air conditioning. Does okay for heating, I’m not sure if it saves much on heat costs since I have natural gas available and that has stayed low price compared to what I projected when I had the geothermal installed.
