SW Iowa | No idea exactly how bad your infestation is, but I've had some success here just trying to spray post late (meso/atz in corn, spiking some classic in when soybeans) and harvesting early to minimize seed set. I wish think notill helps keep seeds on top of the ground where they can break down and be eaten by bugs/critters etc.
If I had the burr problem I had 10 years ago now, I'd be thinking hard about using drone spraying as part of the late season solution, also. I couldn't find anyone willing to run 24d through a spray plane. Peak never seemed worth the carryover risk to me. | |
