West Central Illinois | Maybe not half but maybe 75% of normal on ground that had applied same exact amount of fertilizer as last year. We were dry at the very beginning of spring then got lots of rain in late March through April and early May. I'm guessing the cool cloudy days knocked it back but even though we're getting dry right now not too bad of moisture underneath so the hay taken off 2 weeks ago has great regrowth already. Hopefully can get a big 2nd cut that's the "good stuff" anyway. | |
