The first cutting was short. Most was half ton off, some was closer to ton an acre short depending on who I talk to.
I'm pricing stuff high, and it's moving. Big squares of first-cutting alfalfa/orchard (dry cow/horse hay) are $180/ton, and I have a similar kind of hay that I've got orders for 2nd cutting, at over $200/ton.
Nothing is leaving cheaply this year, or it sits in the shed, as there is plenty of space.
