| I don't know how many seed company reps, agronomists and corn plot workers have told me the finger planter is the best, period, exclamation point. Yes the modern bells and whistles can plant more precise but they can and also will plant a lot, lot worse. Many seed plots have been thrown out due to vacum planter mistakes and malfunctions. Furthermore, since the finger planter is already very accurate there is not much improvement possible. In the real world when you are planting many different seed sizes nothing can plant as accurate across the spectrum as the finger unit. The vacum planters can plant more accurate than a finger planter at high speed. | |
