The 20/20 tells you skips and multiples as you're planting for a reason. Set your vac based off of that. 20 should be in the ballpark for most seed, err on the side of more vac, since the singulator should take care of knocking off multiples from the disc. This is assuming that everything in the meters is in good shape and put together correctly. Have you had a dealer run any troublesome meters on a test stand?

Seed sensors can go bad, but a PP dealer should have a tool to test them as well. There are also settings in the display for how far off the pop has to be for it to alarm, could be set at too tight of a limit causing it to alarm when it doesn't need to be.

see #2. also, yes, there are WaveVision sensors, which are better, but are a whole new seed tube and sensor. Guys run these if they have trouble getting false readings from dust, usually with small seeded crops (sugarbeets, etc.) Most people (as far as I know) get along fine with the regular seed tubes and sensors, or the Deere ones anyways. I'm not as familiar with CIH, but I would think the OEM sensors should be fine. Get them tested if you're unsure.

Any piece of equipment can and will go bad, SRMs included. I believe they have updated some things on them to make them more reliable after having some problems with them in past years. Are you certain they were bad? Sometimes a bad connection causes the problem, and happens to get fixed when you replace the part. The diagnostic screen should help troubleshoot them also.

If you have a 2nd person around when you do the health checks, have them slightly 'help' the row units in question up. Sometimes things bind just a bit, if you give them a little (and I mean little) nudge, they should go up. What kind of erratic readings? Doesn't hurt to Zero Out the load cells every now and then, or at least check that. With planter lifted, they should read 0 lbs, if not, zero them. Also, even though Deltaforce is an automatic system, that doesn't mean you don't have to do anything with it. Need to figure out for your conditions what downforce margin to be aiming for. Ask dealer and/or neighbors that are running it to see what they have had success with.

All of these things are best dealt with during planting, when you can try to fix things and come up with solutions, instead of after, when you have to wait until next year to figure anything out. Get your dealer on the phone or out to the field while you're having the problem so they can actually help you fix the issue or learn what needs to be adjusted.
