Subject: RE: Hagie 2100 wheel seal

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Drips every now and again is not terrible

Jack the wheel off the ground and see how loose the bearings are "wiggle it top in and out"
Then check one that is not leaking

We have a 1997 2100 --keep it for a spare and dribbling 32% in corn
--I bet 2 out of 4 planetaries are dripping a little
Check the oil level every day or two put in 140 W gear lube not thinner oil

Will run a long time "a little dripping"

I have replaced the seals been quite a few years can't remember it being difficult
If I remember right on the older finals bearing preload was set with shims
newer ones have threads like a wheel bearing preload is adjustable
Not much distance between the tapered bearings SO a little loose seems like a bunch
