Figure out what seed size you will be planting and then the planting rate and purchase the appropriate seed disks for the brush meters. I've got both sizes of the 30 cell milo meters for planting 15" row milo at around 80,000 per acre. I've never changed the upper brush retainer from the soybean one but there is a different one available for sorghum disks.

Shoup has the all the disks listed on this page. https://www.shoupparts.com/shop/manufacturer/kinze/machine-type/plan...

Do you have the half rate kit? You change a sprocket and a chain on the inside of the seed transmission to cut the shaft speed in half. This allows you to set the planting population directly from the 30" row chart when you are planting on 15" rows.

I went from a 6/11 to an 8/16 a few years ago. By offsetting the tractor drawbar you can straddle the old corn rows with the tractor and plant 2 rows of beans between the corn rows. Handy if you no-till beans after corn. Don't know if they make a kit to add an extra pusher row to planters that didn't come with it. Kinze planters are good, simple planters.
