That’s an interesting way to do a plot I’m not sure I’ve seen one done like that before. Some varieties just have such a high sugar content at blister-dough stage I think wildlife can just pick them right out. You probably had a variety that later made it into SE variety sweet corns you just didn’t know it! Thanks for the well wishes
