I've got a 15" Evolution carbide tipped blade as well as an Ellis 1600. I probably use the bandsaw twice as often as the cold cut but it depends on the material. 1/4" and thicker it's the Ellis every time, thinner square tube or angle I'll go with the Evolution. If I absolutely had to choose just one, I'd go with the bandsaw.
