Subject: MacDon FD70 bottom flap

Hazelton, Kansas
All,

We have trouble with the plastic bottom flap located under the center draper belt on FD70s. They come unhooked at the back side. The metal hooks are adjusted at the tight end of the adjustment slot, but they still come unhooked several times a day.

We are close to drilling a hole in each metal hook and zip-tying the hooks to the rod. But that creates another issue when you want to dump the flap.

I think the problem is actually created by flexing of the latch rod.

Does the MACDon brain trust on here have a better solution?

Thanks in advance.

MDS
