Central PA | For the sake of the conversation, understand the difference between a cold saw and a dry cut saw. A cold saw operates at <200 rpm, uses coolant and they are a few grand (or more) new. A dry cut saw uses a carbide tipped blade at 1000-1500 rpm costs a few hundred dollars.
If fabricating with structural steel pieces I would probably pick the cold saw. If you have to drop in a piece of 4” dia solid bar stock to stick in a lathe I would want to have the bandsaw around.
