WC Indiana | We just put 18 carp and other baitfish in a month ago in our newly acquired pond. The carp were 12+ inches and should help in the next few years, but need to get it under control now. The pond needs dug out, but that’s not in the cards right now. I put pond dye in to help block the light from getting to the bottom, but I’m going to put a couple more bottles in next week. I’ve sprayed and broadcast copper sulfate on all the moss and it didn’t seem to kill it. That was about 3ish weeks ago. I talked with the fishery that I got the fish from about the algae. He wasn’t too concerned about killing it all off at once, since the water was cool and I have an aerator going. I’m going to try more copper sulfate and see if I can do any better.
