I ride motorcycles. Decidedly more risky than driving a car.
I would have a big problem if the government, for my own good of course, were to determine riding motorcycles is much too dangerous and bans their use and sales.
It is my choice to choose the level of risk I am willing to take. It is good use of government finances to see that we are educated about risks we might not fully understand. But not, in my opinion, their use to control us. As long as we are willing to suffer or benefit from the consequences of our personal actions, butt out government.
It seems some states are tending to agree with me on that.
