Subject: RE: 8210T Hydraulic Oil Level Flashing

I had the switch for clean reservoir go out on my 8410 this spring as well. That one was throwing a code for me at least. I am nor familiar with the 8XXX T tractors to know if the hyd system is any different. Tye hyd pump for scv’s and such is on the right hand side in front of the final drive on both my 8100 and 8410. They each have the higher capacity pump which has the bias piston like I described earlier. This is not a drain plug but a large nut (1 1/4 maybe?) facing out in the side of the pump. I believe that controls how much oil goes to clean/high pressure reservoir vs sump. I think The pickup screen is located inside the rear end housing where the large line attaches. Need to remove that and pull the screen out to clean it. Best done with oil already drained. I am just a farmer not a trained JD mechanic to my advice is worth what you paid for it. Hope this helps a little. Like I said, never been around a tracked machine.
