In the fall getting stalks dry enough to bale can be a challenge.
Corn stalk bales make for a great bedding pack. Seem to rot down a little quicker than straw. Have not had an issue spreading in the fall.
Not sure how you spread out your bedding but a processor works much better than a pitchfork with stalk bales.
Would not recommend stalk bales for hand work.
