X2 even with -.55 basis still is 4.50 corn... If you cant make money on that you got something out of wack.
May 25 I was a little short on fert finishing planting dry beans, urea 995 a ton.Mental math with our average corn yield said about 4.50 break even, fast forward June 1 text from elevator urea 670…4.50 would have worked;) but it’s long gone…
To stay in business I try to forward contract for a profit not brake even, just something thats seemed to work better the last 45 years;) |
