X2 even with -.55 basis still is 4.50 corn... If you cant make money on that you got something out of wack.
Must be im out of wack then (and believe me, im pretty conservative). If you are satisfied with that fine. Im not. By the time you cover your cost of living expenses and input costs, you aren't making squat. I don't know, maybe you don't have insurance for your family. Maybe taxes are cheap where you live etc. I don't know. Maybe you regularly grow 300 bu corn on the same npk that I use. But if you pay the same as I do for inputs and have any sort of quality of life outside the farm, there isn't much left. |
