SE Iowa | I can be very profitable at 4.75-5.00 corn which we had a week or two ago for local future cash price. Even 4-4.50 with good yields are quite manageable. But if I contract everything at these levels and get a 1/2-3/4 crop then it looks ugly pretty quick.
Now I get to work this morning and I’m two counties out of a flood watch…. so once again scared money don’t make money. I probably should have been making my usual incremental sales. I’m not the best farmer but I’m an even worse marketer. :) | |
