2026 is the first year in a moment.. since the late 1880's.. 1890's when Kansas planted more corn vs Wheat.

Have the cuts to USAID influenced reduced demand for US Wheat?  Some of my neighbors grow NO wheat.. in the so called "wheat state."  This is a purely free market financial decision.. several don't use crop insurance.. its just that wheat.. or "poverty grass" doesn't pencil.. if you have a sprayer.. you might as well plant something for a return.. it ain't wheat.

We are harvesting.. or trying to harvest 25 to 35 bu wheat.. vs corn which did 150 bu plus last year.. you do the math..

During the drought of 2022/23/24 with corn basis of as much as $1.50 over.. its estimated that Kansas brought 500 shuttles of corn into the state.. this year I know if several which will be loading shuttles bound for Mexico.. through August.. see the bump in US corn exports.. if we ship 500 out.. vs the 500 in during 2023.. that will be a 400 million bushel swing!!
