You need an orifice at each assembly. This can be a fixed size orifice that provides some back pressure so each assembly receives the same flow and provides enough back pressure to "trip" your checks. I believe you need an orifice. This needs to be sized for your flow requirements.

We used a fixed size for several years. Last year we wanted a higher rate in some situations and we weren't able to get the necessary flow for the orifices we had been using. We switched to a variable type orifice type assembly which provides the same back pressure over a wide range.
