Can you elaborate more on your operation and how you make it work without government involvement Farm Boy 37?
Crops you plant, how long your family has been farming there, etc. It might give some younger producers ideas on how to make your ideology a reality.
Sure, although I never said it was easy. Without putting out too much information online, I farm with my brother (he doesn’t take the payments either) and we mostly grow soybeans, milo, wheat, and hay. We do custom work and work on other people’s equipment in the winter time. We don’t buy new equipment and most of the equipment we have we bought with problems and fixed up. We definitely have less money than most of the farmers around us. It is hard, but doing the right thing is rarely easy. |
