Subject: RE: Soybean planting depth

NWIL
I know nothing about southern MN, but here in my part of IL I'm not happy unless my beans are at least 2" deep, aim for 2.25", be it in April, May, June, dry or wet, stalks or sod. I plant my corn deep, and just move back one notch when I switch over to beans. Its seemed to me over the years, if weather or other conditions are going to cause issues with deep planted beans, the shallow ones will be affected the same way.
