Subject: RE: Soybean planting depth

Central Illinois
We generally plant 2" to 2-1/2" and have not had issues unless a pounding rain comes just after planting.
We had a handle on the depth adjustment not seat and it popped loose. It planted as deep as the planter will go. That row took a week longer to emerge.
As others have said, always plant into moisture.
