ncia | I’ve taken every government payment that was available and that I was aware of. I contend that it is not to help producers but to stabilize things for farm suppliers and lenders. Not a rationalization , just a very subjective observation.
Nothing has done more to facilitate concentration in agriculture that tax payer subsidized crop insurance. I use that program also.
In my estimation , it seems that for my small operation I pay a lot of income tax.
I also get government provided coverage for part of my health care and in the last 5 months I started receiving monthly checks from the government. I do have taxes withheld.
