A hard pounding rain can cause problems if they are 1” deep.

I’ve been planting beans 2” deep for 43 years, deeper if I need to get to moisture. Have seen more stands hurt by shallow planting because there was rain in the forecast that didn’t happen than by planting 2” deep.

Exactly. I don't care what the weather man says. Im planting in the moisture.
