So because of govt, we needed more govt because they made midwest cows uncompetitive and old farmers don't want to work with cows.    Old farmers just want a govt check so they can buy another farm at inflated prices to make sure no young guy has a chance to ever own anything short of inheriting it.


I know you won't see it this way but more govt is never the solution to a problem the govt created in the first place.




You know what I notice??? Whiners never get ahead unless they inherit or catch a large government windfall.

When we had $7 corn, you could buy 40 acres, buy the structures to put the cows under a roof, and buy 40 acres of the best ground in iowa. Pay for it in 10 years. Any young person with drive have gone to a bank, used an FSA guarantee, and borrowed 95% of the money needed.

So no, it’s not impossible, you just get to run a business instead of whine.
