| DCH - 6/1/2026 09:03 Again wrong. Age of producers. Charging western cattle producers $1.35/AUM for years made cattle in the Midwest non competitive. You can’t feed cattle for $1.35/head/month. That’s why cows/cattle left. Things like crop insurance and CRP came much later.
So because of govt, we needed more govt because they made midwest cows uncompetitive and old farmers don't want to work with cows. Old farmers just want a govt check so they can buy another farm at inflated prices to make sure no young guy has a chance to ever own anything short of inheriting it.
I know you won't see it this way but more govt is never the solution to a problem the govt created in the first place.
