I'm not sure your age, but I farmed through the 80's and 90's to see all the land around put in the crp, there wasn't a field of rowcrops anywhere near me. I was the last hold out. You could buy a farm and the crp check would make the farm payment. At least today the money is going to someone working and feeding someone.
