We prefer the Zimectin brand over the apple flavored ones. A white paste. Doesn't taste good but better than the apple. Usually costs about a dollar or two more.
Anecdotal evidence may not matter, except for the one who is the anecdote.
You probably just got lucky and would have overcome it without the extra expense and trouble. ***************
