Yes.  If you stand 30 feet from the track and feel it through your shoes, you won't doubt that figure a bit.  Big Boys are 132 feet long, and they were built purposely to be heavy to eliminate needing a second locomotive to scale mountain grades- not engineered to save weight wherever it is not necessary like trucks, ships, aircraft.
