Southeast Colorado | If the land is good irrigated.........he's not holding back bidding. There have been a couple of out of State guys beat him at auctions the last couple of years. If the land is subpar............he may bid, he may not. He's actually sold quite a bit of land too lately. Usually uses the money to accumulate more in certain other areas.
I honestly don't know what drives him.............but they've got 10s of thousands of acres, a couple thousand cows, and banks, and everything in between. He's actually a pretty good fellow for keeping our small town economically moving along.
By the way..........I'm not talking about Soliviev this time. That guy is a completely different animal. No one anywhere can compete with him and his money. Thankfully he's gotten a little bit bored with the farming game of late. | |
