edgerton ks. | Long growing season. June planted corns up in 4 to 5 days , perfect stands and never looks back. Tall, usually pollinates after the brutal summer heat,and fills during cooler wetter September. Other than harvest moisture it’s usually pretty good. I’m not saying it’s my first choice but if I had fertilizer down for corn already I would definitely plant corn over taking prevent plant or switching to beans. I’ve had above aph yields planted past insurance cutoff. We had 3.4 over last three days also. All corns up and going but no beans yet. I feel your frustration but I’m old enough to not worry yet. | |
