Sad part is most schools have eliminated slides, swings and merry go rounds. All the fun stuff. Some are even eliminating recess.
Amusingly, our private school still has the 'giant strides' pole! It's not the most heavily used piece of playground equipment, but it's far from obsolete. We do lock it up when community children are around for summer VBS though, after one of them flew off and broke her arm. |
